BekArch converts disused bakery workshop into skylight-topped apartment
BekArch is a Prague-based architecture studio led by Jan Bek. We design buildings, interiors, and places with an emphasis on proportions, materials, and the natural character of space. We believe in architecture that needs no unnecessary gestures. Architecture rooted in its context, the needs of people, and a careful search for the essential. We see architecture and interior design as a unified whole – from the initial concept to the smallest detail.
We develop our designs in close dialogue with clients, specialists, and craftsmen. By connecting design with construction, we can influence not only the character of a space but also the quality of its execution.
Our work is regularly recognized in architectural competitions and featured in professional publications. Our awards include:
2026: Interior of the Year, Building of the Year – Karlovy Vary Region, Czech Interior Award
2024: Office of the Year, Top 10 Emerging Architects
2019: BIG SEE Award
