Infill Apartment Building_Wolkerova

The design of a five-unit apartment building fills a vacant plot in Wolkerova Street, Prague 6. To naturally integrate into the street frontage, the symmetric front façade features gently set-back floors that visually lighten the volume. Additionally, each apartment benefits from its own private terrace.

The exterior combines a light-colored brick façade with metal cladding on the recessed upper floor and garage. Navigating strict heritage zone and parking constraints, the simple massing is enhanced by precise detailing. The result is contemporary architecture sensitively woven into a complex historical context.
