The design of this two-story family house in a new development on the western edge of Beroun takes advantage of the sloping terrain and views of the town and surrounding hills. The entrance to the lower floor aligns with the street level and a front garden with a garage. This floor houses technical facilities and a separate living area with direct access to the garden, which can be used either as part of the main house or as an independent unit. The upper floor contains the main living spaces, with direct connections to the garden and panoramic views to the south and west.
The house is composed of four volumes embedded into the slope, with their positions and materials reflecting the function of the interior spaces. The simple geometry is softened by greenery and large glazed surfaces. Materially, it combines raw concrete, natural wood, and a wooden terrace, which age naturally over time along with the house. The façades are complemented by wooden windows, precise detailing, and durable elements such as Alubond cladding and metalwork. The overall composition integrates naturally with the surrounding buildings.
