A two-story annex located right next to our previous design, villa Radonice, for the same client. Compared to the neighboring building, the mass of the new house is an elongated rectangle, but it borrows and utilizes the generous materiality of the adjacent object in a slightly modified form. The architectural language and volumetric solution are influenced not only by our previous design but also by the surrounding existing buildings and the existing demolished structure.
The façade of the house follows the street line, while the garden-facing side connects to the neighboring building at the ground floor and recedes at the upper floor to create space for a terrace. The house also defines a portion of the garden next to the main side façade, which will be designed primarily as a utility area.
From the street view, the building is divided into the main volume and a lower protruding floor that connects to the neighboring new building through its chosen cladding. Traditional family house functions are located in the two-story part of the building without an attached garage. Parking is allocated in the front part of the plot, in front of the fence, with a gate providing direct access to the property.
