Villa on a Hillside_Lysolaje

phase: architectural study, planning permission documentation, construction (detailed) design documentation, interior design documentation year: 2025 photo/visual: BekArch s.r.o

A three-storey family house at the end of a cul-de-sac in the Lysolaje district of Prague, situated on the boundary between a residential area and an allotment garden colony. The house is sensitively embedded in sloping terrain, taking advantage of the change in elevation as well as long-distance views into the Lysolaje Valley.

From street level, the building appears understated – only the entrance floor with a carport is visible, while towards the valley the house opens over three storeys into the garden. The layout is divided into a quiet level with bedrooms, a living level with a generously glazed living space, and a lower floor containing technical facilities and a wellness area connected to the garden with a swimming pool.

The volumetric design responds to the slope and the surrounding development, giving the house a subtle presence that naturally blends into the landscape. The material palette combines brick cladding, natural wood, and exposed concrete, together creating a timeless character that ages gracefully.
