Renovation of a Historic Corner Building_KV

The reconstruction of the PVT building at the corner of T.G. Masaryka and Varšavská streets in Karlovy Vary revitalizes its historical exterior. By removing insensitive modern interventions, such as steel additions and inappropriate cladding, the building’s original character is brought back to life. The focal point of the transformation is the carefully restored semi-circular entry pavilion.

The overall design harmonizes perfectly with traditional Carlsbad architecture, guided by its authentic 1951 condition. Characteristic features like a horizontally segmented ground floor, wooden mullioned windows, narrow high dormers, and a classic gabled roof unify the exterior. The result is an elegant office and commercial building that deeply respects its historic context.
