This two-story villa is situated in a new residential area on the southern edge of Dalovice, approximately 3 km from the center of Karlovy Vary, offering panoramic views of the city and forested hillsides. The house is designed into the slope, utilizing the elevation change: the street-level entrance leads to the upper floor, which houses the garage and the main living area, designed for potential barrier-free living. This living space opens through generous glazing onto a south- and west-oriented terrace.
The lower floor connects to a private garden and contains the utility rooms, children’s bedrooms (with a flexible layout for future partitioning), and a wellness area designed to be converted into an independent unit if needed. The building’s volume is simplified into two intersecting blocks seamlessly integrated into the terrain, softened by greenery and large glass surfaces. Material-wise, the project plays with the contrast between exposed concrete and natural wood, complemented by aluminum elements and gray window frames.
